Reading Your Skin Report

Every line in your Skin Reading PDF, explained.

Your OVESSI Skin Reading arrives as a PDF document. It scores five concern areas, matches you to one of five Rituals, and flags active ingredients your skin may benefit from. The report stays relevant for around three months, after which your skin may shift and warrant a fresh reading.

The five concern scores

Each report shows numerical scores for sensitivity, hydration, texture, tone, and firmness. These are derived from the photograph you submit and the answers you provide during the Skin Reading process. A higher score suggests that concern is more pronounced for your skin right now. The scoring is comparative, not absolute. It reflects patterns the AI has learned from thousands of skin images and self-reported data. No single score defines your skin. Together, they form a profile that guides product selection. The scores are honest and technical. They do not dramatise minor variation or suggest crisis where none exists. If two scores sit close together, both concerns are equally relevant. The system does not force a hierarchy where your skin does not show one. You may see scores change between readings taken months apart, because skin is not static. Seasonal shifts, stress, travel, and habit all leave marks the AI can detect.

Your matched Ritual

Below the concern scores, the report names one of five OVESSI Rituals. This match is algorithmic, not arbitrary. The AI considers which concerns score highest and how they interact, then selects the Ritual formulated to address that combination. Each Ritual is a layered sequence of products, designed to work together over twenty eight days. The match is a starting point, not a prescription. If you already follow a different Ritual and see results, you may choose to continue. The report does not override your lived experience. It offers a considered recommendation based on the data submitted. You can explore all five Rituals to understand how each addresses different concern profiles. The matched Ritual will include actives flagged elsewhere in your report, ensuring the recommendation is consistent. If your skin profile sits between two Rituals, the system defaults to the one that addresses the concern scored most urgently.

Flagged actives and their role

The report lists active ingredients your skin may respond well to, based on the concern scores. These are not predictions of considered change. They are ingredients with documented roles in supporting hydration, calming sensitivity, smoothing texture, evening tone, or reinforcing firmness. Common actives flagged include:

  • Niacinamide for tone and barrier support
  • Hyaluronic acid for hydration
  • Centella asiatica for sensitivity
  • Peptides for firmness
  • Glycolic or lactic acid for texture

Each flagged active appears in at least one product within your matched Ritual. The report does not ask you to source ingredients separately. It explains why certain actives are present in the Ritual recommended, so you understand the logic behind the formulation.

What it is not

The Skin Reading PDF is not a medical diagnosis. It cannot detect skin disease, infection, or conditions requiring clinical care. If you have concerns about moles, rashes, persistent irritation, or pain, consult a dermatologist. The report does not replace professional advice. It is a product-matching tool, built to guide you toward skincare that suits your current skin profile. The scores do not measure your worth or attractiveness. They describe functional characteristics the AI has identified. The report is honest, not flattering, and it does not promise transformation. It offers a quiet, technical starting point for choosing products that may help your skin feel more comfortable.

Where to go next

To understand how the reading is generated, visit the Skin Reading page. To explore all five Rituals and see which actives each contains, visit All five Rituals. If you want to see how others experienced their matched Ritual over four weeks, read the 28-day study. Your report remains a useful reference for around three months. After that, consider a fresh reading to track how your skin has shifted.

Common questions

How long does the report stay accurate? Around three months, after which your skin may change enough to warrant a new reading.

Can I request a different Ritual than the one matched? Yes, the match is a recommendation, not a requirement.

What if my scores are all similar? The system will match you to the Ritual that addresses the combination most comprehensively, even when scores are close.
