Glycerin anchors the hydration base, supported by Sodium PCA which binds water at the skin surface to prevent the tight, uncomfortable sensation that follows actives use. Sodium Hyaluronate provides a secondary layer of moisture-binding activity deeper in the surface structure. Argan Kernel Oil, organically sourced, contributes essential fatty acids alongside its emollient properties without the heaviness of heavier oils; it absorbs quickly and does not contribute to comedogenicity at the concentrations used here.
Zinc PCA is a considered inclusion : it combines the gentle sebum-moderating properties of Zinc with the skin-conditioning effect of PCA, addressing the oil-balance concern without the desiccation that classical Zinc formulations can cause. Ascorbyl Palmitate (a lipid-soluble Vitamin C derivative) and Tocopherol provide antioxidant protection, extending the life of the oil fraction and offering ambient UV-related support at the surface.
