Formulation
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride leads the formula as the primary carrier : a lightweight, odourless, skin-compatible ester that provides the oil's initial silky texture without the heaviness of a conventional oil base. Glycerin provides humectancy and assists in the phase transition from oil to milk. Sunflower Seed Oil, organically certified, contributes its linoleic-acid-rich lipid nourishment. Alcohol assists in the quick dispersal and rinsing characteristics of the formula.
Sucrose Laurate and Sucrose Palmitate are the phase-changing heart of the formula : these sucrose ester emulsifiers absorb water during rinsing, expanding and emulsifying the oil phase, which then disperses and rinses cleanly from the skin. Tocopherol stabilises the lipid phase against oxidation. Mica (CI 77019) gives the formula its characteristic shimmering golden appearance at the surface. CI 77491 (Iron Oxides) provides a complementary warm mineral pigment.
Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, organically sourced, provides bisabolol and apigenin : the calming, anti-inflammatory compounds that have made chamomile the canonical sensitive-skin botanical. Hippophae Rhamnoides Sea Buckthorn Fruit Extract, organic, contributes carotenoids, omega-7, and natural vitamin E. Rubus Chamaemorus Cloudberry Fruit Extract, organic, adds tocopherols, plant sterols, and essential fatty acids particularly beneficial for the compromised barrier that sensitive skin presents. Glycolipids contribute microbiome-supportive surface lipids.
