On the skin's surface, enzymatic processes cleave the glucose group and release free ascorbic acid at the site of action, producing the antioxidant and tone-supporting effects without requiring the free acid to be delivered directly. Ferulic Acid at 1% is a hydroxycinnamic acid known for its ability to enhance the stability and bioavailability of Vitamin C on the skin; the two are well-established as a co-active system. Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil at 1%, organically sourced, adds a meaningful concentration of natural carotenoids and tocopherols that contribute both antioxidant action and the serum's characteristic warm luminosity.
The lipid phase is deliberately rich for a brightening serum: Jojoba Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Rosehip Fruit Oil, and Castor Seed Oil are all organically sourced and each contributes a distinct fatty acid profile.
