Why this exists
Physical exfoliants often fail because the particles are either too sharp and irregular or so fine that they do little at all. This formula is built around Icelandic volcanic sand, chosen for its naturally fine, round-edged structure that allows controlled polishing without the harsh feel associated with many scrubs. Rather than using abrasion alone, the base combines hydrogenated castor oil and sunflower seed oil so the skin is conditioned as the surface is refined. Lactic acid adds a mild secondary exfoliating layer, while a Nordic berry complex and vitamin E support the freshly polished surface. The result is a single scrub for face and body that aims to leave skin smoother, cleaner-looking, and more luminous without stripping it down.

Apply to damp skin
Massage a small amount onto damp face or body skin using light circular motions. Keep the pressure gentle and let the particles do the work.

Work, then rinse
Continue for a short pass only, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. The oil base helps it spread smoothly and wash away without a tight after-feel.

Formulation
Hydrogenated Castor Oil forms the structural emollient base, creating the cream matrix that carries the volcanic sand particles in suspension. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride and Cetearyl Alcohol maintain the emulsion stability and contribute to the smooth, non-draggy texture during use. Glycerin, made using organic ingredients, provides surface hydration during contact.
Volcanic Sand is the primary exfoliating material. Sourced from Iceland, it is a naturally occurring mineral particle of volcanic origin with an inherently fine, round-edged structure that limits surface trauma during physical exfoliation. Kaolin reinforces the oil-absorbing quality of the rinse. Lactic Acid and Citric Acid bring the pH into a range that is favourable for skin compatibility and also provides mild keratolytic support.
The organic fruit complex : Blueberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, and Cloudberry : contributes polyphenol antioxidants that are particularly valuable on freshly exfoliated skin, which is transiently more sensitive to free-radical damage. Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, organically sourced, adds further emollient and antioxidant activity. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) stabilises the oil fraction and provides additional surface protection. Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate maintain preservation within the water phase.
