Why this exists
Sensitive skin is not simply dry skin or a little reactive : it has a lower tolerance threshold, so fragrance, essential oils, or overly assertive emulsifiers can trigger visible or tactile responses that linger. The base is Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, organically sourced, which replaces the standard aqueous phase with a soothing, polysaccharide-rich carrier. Aloe at the top of the INCI is not a symbolic gesture; it signals that the anti-inflammatory and humectant properties of the plant are functional at a meaningful concentration, not trace-level.
Jojoba Seed Oil, organically sourced, forms the primary lipid phase. Its composition is unusually close to human sebum, making it one of the most skin-compatible oils available for sensitive formulations: it moisturises without triggering the comedogenic or sensitising responses that heavier plant oils can produce. Mango Seed Butter, also organically sourced, adds emollient richness and melts readily on contact with skin, contributing to the cream's softening effect without heaviness.
Hydrolyzed Rhodophyceae Extract, derived from red algae, provides a polysaccharide film-forming action that helps maintain the skin's moisture barrier overnight, reducing transepidermal water loss during the hours when the barrier is most vulnerable. Sodium Hyaluronate and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid provide surface and deeper hydration at two molecular weights.
