Why this exists
There is a gap between full coverage and bare skin that many rituals do not serve well. Some days call for more than moisturiser, but less than foundation, and this stick is built for that space : a tone-correcting step that also delivers mineral SPF30 and barrier-supporting lipids in one movement. For deeper skin tones, the failure mode of mineral sun protection is often a visible grey cast, so the pigment balance here is calibrated with warm iron oxides and titanium dioxide to sit with the skin rather than on top of it. At the same time, zinc oxide provides broad-spectrum protection, while ceramide-adjacent lipids, cocoa butter, jojoba oil and sea buckthorn oil bring comfort and a richer skin feel. The result is a hybrid step designed to be quick, wearable and visually quiet.

Formulation
Zinc Oxide at a meaningful concentration is the mineral sun filter. As a physical reflector of UV radiation, it provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection without the absorption mechanism of chemical filters, and is the filter of choice for skin that is prone to sensitivity or post-inflammatory pigmentation : both common concerns for deeper skin tones where inflammation leads more predictably to discolouration. The Iron Oxide and Titanium Dioxide pigment blend is the specific innovation of this shade : the warm, deeper tone is achieved through a higher Iron Oxide ratio that neutralises the inherent greyness of mineral UV filters.
The wax matrix : Sunflower Seed Wax, Rice Bran Wax, and Rhus Succedanea Fruit Wax : melts cleanly at skin temperature for smooth blending. Dicaprylyl Carbonate and Isoamyl Laurate contribute a lightweight skin-feel with no drag.
Glycosphingolipids deliver ceramide-adjacent barrier support. Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, organically sourced, and Jojoba Seed Oil, organically sourced, provide rich emollient nourishment. Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil, organically sourced, adds carotenoid antioxidants. Tocopherol stabilises the formula throughout its life.
