Formulation
Cetearyl Alcohol forms the emulsion base, providing the smooth, cushioned consistency that allows even distribution through wet hair without excess. Betaine, a naturally derived quaternary ammonium compound derived from sugar beet, delivers conditioning and static reduction without heaviness. Glycerin and panthenol work in tandem as humectants: glycerin draws moisture to the hair surface, and panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) penetrates the hair shaft, where it binds water and contributes to the flexibility and elasticity that prevent snap and breakage.
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, positioned late in the INCI, works at the sites of visible damage along the cuticle : micro-gaps that appear when hair is regularly exposed to alkaline shampoos, heat, or chemical processing. By temporarily filling these gaps, it reduces the friction between strands that causes tangling and the surface roughness responsible for dullness. Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride provides the primary detangling action, allowing the comb to move through wet hair without pulling. The fragrance is derived from lemon and bitter orange peel oils, providing the citrus character without synthetic aromatic compounds.
