This formula is designed for that precision : a 15 ml concentrate built around 1% Kojic Acid, supported by antioxidant activity from Vitamin C and E, and carried in a lightweight jojoba and glycerin base. Formulation
Kojic Acid at 1% is the lead active. It functions by chelating copper ions required for tyrosinase activity, the enzyme responsible for melanin synthesis. Without this enzymatic step proceeding at full rate, new pigment production is slowed, and the skin's normal cell turnover cycle gradually reduces the visibility of existing pigmentation. At 1%, this formula is positioned above the trace concentrations that appear in some general brightening products, and within the range documented in peer-reviewed cosmetic dermatology literature for topical efficacy.
Vitamin C activity is provided by Ascorbyl Palmitate, which contributes additional tyrosinase-inhibiting action and works synergistically with Kojic Acid on the same enzymatic pathway. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) extends the antioxidant protection of both actives and helps defend the skin against the UV-induced melanin stimulation that can counteract the treatment's progress. Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil, organically sourced, adds carotenoid antioxidant activity alongside its emollient function. Rosemary Leaf Extract is included as a natural antioxidant stabiliser.
Jojoba Seed Oil (organically sourced) and Glycerin form the base, supported by Betaine, Sodium PCA, and Sclerotium Gum for skin comfort and texture stability. Paprika Fruit Extract is present at a low concentration for its natural pigment and antioxidant contribution.
